Methodology

Fees, revenue and holder revenue

Fees are what users pay. Revenue is the protocol’s share after payments to suppliers such as liquidity providers. Holder revenue is the part directed to token holders. Revenue is not net profit or a promise of a payout.

Revenue definitions follow DefiLlama’s methodology. Compare similar sectors and open each protocol’s sources.

Annualisation and valuation

Annual revenue = trailing 30d × 365/30. A trailing-year figure is used when 30d data is missing; each row records the basis. This is a run rate, not a forecast.

P/S = market cap ÷ annual revenue. P/S FDV uses diluted valuation instead. Neither measures profitability. FDV marked * uses a market-cap fallback or a clamped supply estimate. Float measures circulating supply against available max/total supply.

Value to holders, buybacks and burns

Annual token allocation is the value routed to the token: buybacks, burns, distributions and treasury purchases. It is DefiLlama’s measured holder revenue where available; a ~ marks an estimate from a reviewed share of revenue.

Holder yield = annual allocation ÷ market cap. A screening ratio, not a staking APY. Burned supply is read on-chain from unspendable addresses (0x…dEaD, 0x0) or taken from a dated, cited total.

Evidence and missing data

Mechanisms are hand-curated with sources, or detected automatically from DefiLlama’s methodology (marked AUTO) and re-checked on every refresh. A dash means unavailable, never zero. The data score measures completeness, not investment quality.
